During this national emergency in the United States due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDR+A Structural Engineers are prepared and ready to serve. We have implemented staff training specific the crisis and will continue to monitor and revise training as appropriate. The health and safety of our clients and employees is of top importance.
With this focus, CDR+A is open and operating with the procedures and considerations outlined below.
Company wide self-reporting protocols have been established. All staff members are currently working from home except field staff performing site evaluations. If a member of the field staff is in a risk category as defined by the CDC (table one), they will not perform site visits. In this instance, another member of the engineering team would be sent to perform the site assessment.
CDR+A is also adhering to all protocols established by the CDC for prevention of the spread of the virus. This includes handwashing or the use of approved hand sanitizer before and after every visit.
If you have someone at home who falls into any CDC defined higher risk category, please consider option 1 below. We recommend postponing any visits to the interior of homes if you fall into this category.
For everyone else, both options below apply.
1) Many residential site visits are limited to the exterior or crawlspace of a home. In this instance, one can speak with engineering staff on the phone during or after the visit and avoid contact.
2) If access to the interior of a home is needed, staff will work to maintain the maximum possible distance from individuals.
All payments for services should be made online by e-check or credit/debit card (via the email invoice), to stay inline with limiting personal contact.
